You have to understand, it was just the times. Back then, pitcher plants weren't allowed in those kinds of clubs. Fly traps really didn't know any better.

I know Little Shop of Horrors may have given mutant killer venus fly traps a bad name, but they really are such amazing plants! A carnivorous plant just seems like an oxymoron, and that's awesome.
